Yeah, yeah the reader knows already from the too many times in book one. Cole is the tallest man with the most muscles. Yawn.

This page would have been perfect to include at least some hygiene. So no teeth brushing? Ever? Baths maybe only weekly or less?
So far every time the FMC kisses one of the MMCs I want to gag because they all must have the worst stench and their mouths smell like something died in them.

Still not sure why this book has so many high ratings. The „omg I love Cole so much“ is beyond annoying at this point.

Anything relating to Kat and Cole is just so boring and pure cringe. Yikes.
Also.. do the people in this world bathe? Any physical interaction makes me want to vomit because the lack of mention of any hygiene.

Cole sounds boring. A redhead too? A huge no in romantasy. It also doesn‘t help that in all official artwork I have seen of him so far he looks like he‘s in his 40s.

So A Fate so Dark and Delicate for now ruined Romantasy for me. It is so bad that I started reading contemporary romance, which I never wanted to because diving into fantasy worlds was my escape from this sh*t show of a real world out there.

So back to re-reading Deep End or re-reading The Love Hypothesis it is.

Ok now that is just stupid. For ~balance~ fae turned into witches turned into shifters turned into humans with a difference in lifespans from 10.000 years for fae to 80 years for humans. What kind of balance is that.
Maybe this series would have better been left alone and not turned into a backdoor pilot for the next one.

I wonder if I at this point even want to read the spin-off series focused on the Oakgard fae when they are so far just stupid and annoying as if they were a bunch of earth wielding trolls.
This more and more read sadly like just a three star read with too many POVs and too little of the main characters.

Quintuplets? Seriously? So far this book does not match the expectations and hope I had for it.

So far this is the weakest book of the series. There is too much new worldbuilding for a fourth book of a four book series. So much that it so far just feels like a backdoor pilot for a spin off series instead of its own story.

43 % in and it‘s mostly all about a found family with way too many people I care way too little about.
