Reading this with a couple of buddies. We are having a weekly meeting to discuss what we read. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to read this but it was chosen by the group and I'm happy we have this thing going.

My manager asked me about my book today. We had a conversation about the topics and they agreed with the points the author was making. I suppose it's gotten to a point where I can start recommending this book to most people but it's still such a hard read.

As I'm reading about addiction I'm beginning to think about my own addictions and it's scary how many things I'm obsessing over instead of being passionate about it. Even the author himself talks about his own obsessiveness of owning material possessions and it reminds me of myself.

I brought this book with me to the hospital as my father is having surgery. I read some chapters during college for an assignment but haven’t picked it up since. As I’m on a journey of not smoking weed, I figured reading about addiction might help me feel better about my decision.

My bedside book. I’ve been wanting to get more into queer fiction and this is a good place to start.

I’ve heard so many good things about this book.

I’m learning that sexual suppression is ideal for fascists to stay in power. The lower classes are more open to sexual liberation and it hurts fascists to see sexual freedom, which is why they have a hatred for women and/or LGBTQIA+ folks because they understand that their sexualities more than the straight white men. Fascists love to promote morality and family customs to propagandize the middle classes.

Not really vibing with this book because of its somewhat religious tie ins. But I’m almost finished with it so I will continue reading it.

Reading this with a couple of people whom are experiencing time anxiety. We are eager to get something out of this. I typically do not read self help books.

Decided to read this book again. The first time I read it, I was in some very dark times. And I feel like those dark times are coming back and I want comfort. This book brings me comfort.
