Batsheva is starting The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth, #1)
Chp. 2: The writing is gorgeous, and I'm intrigued, but end of the world stuff may be too dark for Covid 19 times...

Batsheva is finished with The Midnight Library (The Midnight World, #1)
This is well-written, but the subject matter (overwhelming regret & shame, suicidal ideation) is very vivid and hits pretty close to home. Not sure I will be able to keep listening. (This may also speak to author's skill at conveying characters and emotions.)

Batsheva is starting Flotsametrics and the Floating World: How One Mans Obsession with Runaway Sneakers and Rubber Ducks Revolutionized Ocean Science
So far: Jocular Uncle Curt's tales of beachcombing. Enjoyable, but not exactly what I was expecting.

Batsheva is starting Waking Up White: And Finding Myself in the Story of Race

Batsheva is reading Mycelium Running: How Mushrooms Can Help Save the World
Reads like a strange combination of an academic mycology text and the label from Dr. Bronner's Magic soap.

Batsheva is on page 213 of 288 of The Lost Book of Mormon: A Journey Through the Mythic Lands of Nephi, Zarahemla, and Kansas City, Missouri
As a Jew who is fascinated by Mormon religion and culture, I was excited to check out this book by a co-religionist with an unsubtle name that purports to explore Mormom history in my hometown of KC. I'm almost to the end but we haven't gotten to KCMO yet. Slightly disappointing...
