I'll have more thoughts when I actually finish but I love the queer rep and sex positivity! In the world of this novel, people wear rings to show their gender, sexuality, and even preferences. There's also plenty of trans people (called "late-blooming" for just a bit of fantasy flavor), and all sorts of sexualities and gender identities are normalized.
