Tough one to get through - it jumps from different timelines without warning. The main character suddenly goes back in her memory about something related to the present then the present comes back. I find myself putting the book down for a few days then picking it back up again to try reading it.

Oof! This book feels like a personal attack! It’s speaking to my soul.

I was at Evelyn, but admired her at the same time. I cried during the last few pages, which is something a book never makes me do!

I’m just not getting attached to the story or characters. If I feel that way a little more than half way through a book, it’s time to put it down and walk away from it.
