I am not one who likes graphic novels. I get bored with them. With that said, this book was different. I've read many books over the years about WWII and every one of them touches me. It's hard to understand how there could be so much hate in the world. I would read it again and would read it with my kids, so they will never forget.

I loved the movie, but I loved the book even better! The details of the other mother and the lost souls were very well depicted in this story. Excellent writing!
