This book is very interesting so far, definitely reminds me of the classic gothic horror novels but with a more modern twist (if you could count 1950s as modern lol)

It suffers a bit from flat characters with underdeveloped personalities. The bad guys are heartless eugenicists who hate music and fun and probably kick puppies while the good guys are sweet and tender and yearn for the city. Nonetheless, I do enjoy it.
