Good overall but it felt, I don't know, a little rushed?

Definitely my favorite so far for battles and character development but there's still a lack of repercussions.

So much going on but I felt that this book wasn't edited as expertly as the first. Some repetitive areas or skipping areas that may have had more detail in a previous version.

Don't get me wrong, I still very much enjoyed the story and would still recommend it, just not as good as the first

Good but DRY. Really dry.

Such a dark and riveting tale! Kids with powers? Check. Old, creepy adults with mixed motives? Check. "Evil" controlling folks? Check. End of the world risks? Absolutely!

A lot more loose threads than normal, IMHO.
I liked the Kalidan and Szeth adventure and the growth of Adolin. The rest for me was good, not great.
This is my No Spoiler review and I'm sticking to it.

Very good overall to start this trilogy. Great character development and never really knowing who is good and who is bad (good news: most are somewhere in between, just like real life!)

A lot of folks introduced, very GoT-like. Also, a LOT of mortal threats. Everything is broken... Mayne a little too broken.

I don't know why the HBO series start about 50% through the book as there were so many opportunities to explore beforehand. This was like the other GoT novels and you really need a printout of the map and lineage to fully comprehend all the craziness ongoing. I really liked the illustrations throughout but was surprised it was not as detailed as I thought it would be. Very good overall, though.

So good and eerily relevant to American politics of today (burn down everything to rebuild it as you'd want).

One battle takes up 90% of the book?

Solid book but Darrow would have some serious PTSD and not do all the things he did
