Through personal stories, Green places the audience into the Anthropocene. It’s a bit refreshing to hear about the Anthropocene from a mix of perspectives, as most authors I’ve encountered hyper fixate on the negatives!

Fun Fact: There’s a debate in planning over how America has physically ended up as it is. Some blame urbanization, the spread of urban development, and others blame urban sprawl, the trend of populations fleeing the city to rural communities (mainly in search of the “American Dream”). This author leans towards the sprawl debate, indicating that we need to build like consolidated cites (think New York).
