The more I read, the less I like seeing modern phrases in a “not modern” setting. I overlooked them at first because of the vibes, now they are a little irritating. Not irritating enough to quit the series though

I can’t wait for this book to be over. Tempted to DNF, but hate to come this far and not get to add another book to my reading count. 😅

In other grammar related commentary- I do approve of the use of “hahahahaha” as a word 🤣

So the they/them is not my favorite addition to this book. People can call theirselves whatever they want, but they/them a plural pronoun and the character is just one person, so it just doesn’t read well to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Bahaha. Just realized they say “trees” in place of “god” or “gods” as an expression. I wondered why sentences with trees made no sense 🤣

33 years and I have never read my Bible from cover to cover (except my illustrated kids Bible), and this is the furthest Ive made it. I still really like this translation for studying.
