Not even halfway through the book and I am already a puddle of tears for Tisaanah and Max. Truly, the loveliest portrayal of friends-to-lovers I have ever read. And they aren't even lovers yet. I am delighted with this book so far!

The writing style isn't my favorite, but the information, so far, is solid.

So far, this book seems dumb. Whether it's the good or bad kind remains to be seen.

Devon and Kathleen are the worst. Give me more Hamlet content.

Surprise! Devon is in town. First order of business is to ram Kathleen in her back with his boner. Then become weirdly possessive over her, even though they aren't an item. And now he's jealous that she's friendly with his brother West and wondering if his little brother is going to be a cockblock. Maybe if Devon were less of a controlling, weirdly horny asshole...I'm team West.

The weird horniness is gone, as Devon is returned to London to "do business". In his absence, he and Kathleen engage in some weird, flirty banter via telegraph. Hawt. Devon's brother, Weston, comes to the estate to help out, he gets *mostly* sober and he brings home a pet pig that they name Hamlet. I still like the SIL's better than the main characters.

Our FMC has had an emotional breakdown and the MMC is inexplicably tender about it. Never fear though, he promptly ruins the moment by telling her she has small tit's so he isn't tempted by her. Which is a lie, because within a few paragraphs he is lamenting that she is in mourning, because it reeeeallly gets in the way of his penis being in her vagina.

I devoured the series, up until this point, in 3 days time! I don't want it to end, so I'm currently cucking myself because the final book isn't out yet. I will finish it soon because the slowwww burn is slow but it is about to 🔥🔥🔥 and I'm fucking here for it. Luther Corbois is the most elite. I will tolerate absolutely NO slander. This man has altered my brain chemistry.

Third person narration is truly so boring. Devon and Kathleen are so inconsistent and easily persuaded into changing their feelings towards the other. It's only the third chapter and Kathleen is now horny for him, despite literally every interaction being unpleasant. He keeps saying that he's going to kick you and your SIL's out with no means to support yourselves, but his muscular thighs tho...

Devon is annoyed that there is no indoor plumbing in his newly inherited manor and honestly, I get it. You've got beaucoup bucks and yet you choose to still shit in a pot? The twins seem fun as hell, more of them please.

It's the first chapter. He's just met his recently deceased cousins widow; the dislike is mutual. But the minute he gets a peek under that mourning veil he's like "Yeah, I'd fuck her." What have I gotten myself into?
