finally picking this one back up to finish it and im not regretting it at all. the dark points of this book so far have been so debilitatingly dark, and ive had to take quite a few breaks. however, the high points have been such uplifting representations of queer joy and solidarity. i am not even halfway done but i know this will be an alltimer for me.

im really loving how this book is written and the attention to detail with the time period and history. i feel like ive only really been taught southern history of this time period so this has been a really intriguing read so far. the plot is starting to pick up now and im really excited to see how its gonna unfold. LOVE lily
