Meh - sacrificing plot for smut (and cringy smut at that) was a poor narrative choice. Not continuing with the series. The only redeeming characters were Carrion and Taladaius because they were a vibe.

The factory gives the impression of a social commentary on the labour system and exploitation of not only the poor but children as well. The pleading mother, the ghostly child, the deaf workers who are mocked, the indifference of the powerful. The haunting space is intriguing. Im sad that it seems that Henry will become complicit. And is Sir Edward possibly responsible for his daughter’s deafness?? Guilt perhaps?
