ooo i gotta know how this plays out but i still mildly dislike evelyn

yangchen is already an ethereal baddie at age 17 playing a political version of the board game Risk

yawn. thought this was going to be a cooler book-form concept of the movie In Time, but its already becoming some magical hunt for an artifact + some love triangle and ehhh

honestly these characters are both pretentious as fuck and super annoying so if the entire book is them having a sapiosexual-off in some Borderlands type world, im bored and im out

some insane yearning, im still waiting to see the mechanism for how this relationship works

wahhhh bb just nearly 18 but she is learning and growing and how can you not like kyoshi

if i view this as camp, its much more tolerable to read and is honestly kind of funny because the author is writing this horny MC for the male gaze yet its women reading the book about a guy with ASPD trying to convince himself hes not gonna harm animals at the ripe age of 26

ofc shes a fucking nurse shes annoying already

men hit boss level loneliness and still feel entitled

i know this will eventually be some larger piece about humanity and death but im still reading about this iranian immigrant going through a divorce and latching onto a 19yo

100 pages in against my will its so fucking cringe

she is such a pick me this book makes no sense

i got bored tbh

unfortunately dealing with the french

ive never been compulsed to follow such eerily reflective accounts of childhood strife and adult trauma until this memoir forced me to pick up a mirror and yellow highlighter and follow its chapters in a way that feels like were kin
