Very great book so far documenting the rawness of the native american tribes throughout the plains of texas. Very informative book and it takes you on an educational but gruesome journey throughout the south prior to Oregon Trail Expeditions. The story of Quannah Parker is very interesting and a one of a kind experience.

We are starting to get somewhere

Great so far, always love Kings work, especially these dark twisted books that may have twists. I like the character introduction, still working my way through will update as it goes on.

Flipped to Matthew to do some inner work as well as revisit the beatitudes, along with the aspect of murder in the bible, same with divorce. All very interesting but short parts of matthew, still placing importance onto your reading.

But in the aspect of god not destroying the entirety of Egypt, even with the sins they have committed. Is him not wiping them out god’s mercy? Can we think of this in our own life at any times? has there been times where you know you have sinned but god still gives you mercy because he is all righteous? Things to think about I guess?

Pharaoh and Egypt had brought these judgments on themselves with 400 years of slavery and mass murder. Since the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), and Pharaoh and Egypt had horribly sinned against God, it would have been just if God had completely annihilated Egypt.

In the instance of god punishing Egypt, I understand that it was to show that he is the one true god, and that the egypt “sorcery” is not the correct way to worship him. The egyptian magic mimicks the work of god, but is not the same, as god is the one true power that can control what is going to happen.

why God continued to punish the people of Egypt and harden Pharoah’s heart? Yes Pharoah did not release the people of Isreal and had committed brutalities, but I guess I misunderstood the first time reading. It could be that, as a result of Pharaoh’s hard-heartedness, God hardened Pharaoh’s heart even further, allowing for the last few plagues and bringing God’s full glory into view (Exodus 9:12; 10:20, 27)

Re-reading and listening. I think it will help, and always good to listen to the word of god.
