Not my favorite book out of the series and not my favorite characters. Still a cute story, but I want to get back to Ilya and Shane.

Just started so can’t give an honest rating. I am interested in the story and want to continue reading so that grants it a 4 star rating at this point.
Medra is annoying. New student and can’t keep her mouth shut. Blindly trusting a person that clearly hated her less than 24 hours ago is a stupid mistake. She’s being made to look like a fool.

Sadly, the dialogue is starting to slip. The banter at the beginning was genuine, but now it’s campy. One girl begging multiple men to have sex with seems a little desperate and trying to hard on the author’s part.
The plot is interesting, but the FMC is having sex with a different man every chapter, and at the most inconvenient and unrealistic moments.

Not really in my dark romance era right now. Wanting more plot and less spice.

There’s a slow burn and enemies to lovers arc, then there’s this. I’m not sure what is happening with these characters. Still do not have a good connection with them. I’m trying hard to really understand dynamics and emotions, but it’s not happening.

Thinking of DNF’ing this book, but I hate to not finish something.
The writing is still mediocre at best. It feels like it’s on the right track but doesn’t quite make it to the finish line.
Still no true connection with the characters.

The writing is still annoying and I’m having a hard time getting to know these characters. There’s not enough depth and character building for me.

Positive note: almost 3/4 into this book and very little spice and smut. At least this didn’t take over the plot. There has been a lot of tension. That I can work with, but a smut take over can ruin a good plot.
