I am loving this. Wasn’t expecting the time jump but I don’t hate it. Last we saw they were all in terrible situations, where their beliefs and trust were completely destroyed.

I am excited to see the relationship between Nahri and Zaynab. They’re a cute pair. I’m also curious of her and the emir 👀. Can’t wait for all of them to meet again 🥰

chapter twelve: Patroclus my sweet emotionally glued lover boy 😭

I love a flawed character. Patroclus is so full of envy, entitlement and rage. Achilles? My baby (for now i barely know him). So far im enjoying it but i did expect a little more from the writing. Idk if its bc im hearing it on audiobook..

I don’t think I’m finishing this book :/ i really can’t continue

Not gonna lie I was very bored at the beginning but it does have its interesting moments like Evelyn and her loveless marriage. The book does a good job of constantly reminding you that it’s set in 1930s Alabama and I’m scared of what’s to come especially since it’s in the pov of white women

i love this book. i have no idea what’s going on but it’s clear that it’s intentional. i can’t wait to see how all the stories come together.

booty. i hate the main characters which i don’t think we’re supposed to. la tipa cries every two seconds, hates herself, her life, her friends and is una miserable. el otro has no coherent thoughts. how is this a love story when she’s in love and he’s lusting over her while dating her best friend??
