it’s…. okay. 🤷🏽‍♂️ i’m cool with raunchy, but this teeters into territory that is a little much, even for me. there’s not that much of a plot line to keep it going, either. just a whole lot of sex on every other page. we’ll see if the latter portion picks up but I have my doubts and concerns lol

I have literally stopped progressing on all my other reads because of this. completely fascinated by this - and it’s getting oh so scary 😭😭 it’s a longer read but so far, worth every page

so far I am gagged by this??? this is only my second McFadden novel, and i must say, she knows how to write a page turner!!! i love the dopamine release from a short chapter with a cliffhanger. like yeah maybe i do have another 15 minutes past my bedtime idk.

so far, this is scarier than any of the horror novels i've read recently. it's not a horror novel, mind you. picked it up reluctantly but i am thoroughly entranced and harrowed

this book isn’t bad… but it’s just kinda THERE. the plot line has so much potential and is so intriguing, but for some reason the execution isn’t as exciting as the idea so far. we shall see. i will say the author’s use of similes is really quite strange (in a bad, elementary writing kind of way).

started reading this today on a long haul flight. so far I’m sleep 😴🫩🥱 not sure the amnesia trope is my thing. it leaves you with essentially one main character? the other one is just kinda recovering. truly i was looking for smut though so maybe I just should’ve picked up a different book

for some reason this has me riveted??? It’s not SCARY, but it is creepy. for a second the plot stalled, but didn’t quite drag. I’m tuned in!!! It feels predictable though, so we’ll see if there’s a twist on it

The random homophobia pissed me off but other than that, still good

I’m in a rut with this one. the author is indisputably talented, and she’s woven such a realistic world of academia that initially i was scared to re-enter it because it reminded me so much of a school i went to that traumatized me. but as I keep reading, the grip that she had on me initially is wearing thin. The initial plot “twist” was obvious, and I’m not sure what’s left to look forward to…
