captivating first short story! the ending of the story did leave something to be desired but i know that must’ve been an intentional choice from the author, i wish i knew what happened with the main character but ill appreciate that it was left up for interpretation, it mimics everyday life our stories can’t be perfectly finished

is this story just about a depressed, insufferable white woman😭 finding it really difficult to stay engaged rn if anyone has read this and has words of encouragement LOL

taking my time with this one and answering each of the “unapologetic inquiries” in my journal. the opening poem, foreword, and prologue were all very beautifully written. i’m taking my time to digest this content and not just read through it for the sake of speed.

yo this main character is such a terrible person 😭 it’s fascinating to see the way she rationalizes all of her horrible and selfish decisions in her mind
