I remember reading all the reviews on this book and as I read it, it makes a lot of sense. I enjoy the story and how it's written - which makes it a nice and easy read!

I just started and only read the first chapter so far but it is not what I expected. I'm excited to see where this story goes!

This book is great so far! I love the authors writing style!

This story is so cute! So far, definitely 3/3.5 stars - we'll see if it gets to 4.

I am really enjoying this novel. Very light hearted, very wholesome (for a lack of better words).

So far, this book is better than I thought it would be.

Things are starting to connect and now it is getting good and suspenseful.

I am at section 5 out of 7 and things are starting to make more sense. Also, my opinions on certain characters have swayed after getting to know them better. Now I am getting hooked...

I am now at part 3 and I will say, I am still confused and want some of these questioned answered. It is taking everything in me to keep pushing forward and not googling the answers... I hope some questions get answered - it feels like we keep getting more and more questions without any answers or resolution.

This book is currently all over the place - which may be a good thing. I’ll have to keep going and see if all the random pieces come together - because I have so many questions and loose ends that I’m not sure what to do with.

Now that I am on the second to last section/part of this book, I can honestly say, if you are thinking of reading this book but held back because of the "transphobia" people claim is so bad - read it! There is not anything negative about that community expressed - more just the fact that C/J was one. I expected craziness based on how people discredited the book for it, only to find that not to be accurate at all.

As I finish more of this book, the less I see any validity in the negative comments and reviews. They all surround a common theme, which is so minute and (if we are being honest) realistically handled, that its naysayers lose creditability - nothing bad was said about C/J and they were described exactly how a teenage boy would view it. ESPECIALLY since the book was written before the crusades of cancel culture.

I am really enjoying this novel. I feel like a lot of the negative things I've read in the reviews, are criticism on how the 15-year-old boy mind works. In my opinion, the author did a great job illustrating depression and how it works in the young teenage mind. I think this book is great so far!

I read a lot of reviews before starting this book and a lot said it was a rip off of Gabby Petitio and due to it being a recent case, I can see where they are coming from - slightly. I keep recognizing differences between the two and would never have correlated the two. I understand and can relate to all of the characters, and I feel the shifting narrator works well for this story. It is very well written thus far!

I finished part 1 of this book and I can say so far the author has done an amazing job encapsulating depression - especially in adolescence. I really enjoy this book and the forward was beautifully written about the late author. I got this book years ago and am glad to be finally reading it.
