This guy is one wild writer, but it’s been fun so far.

Corrine still gone and she stole money from the lacrosse team. The stranger continues blackmailing people but Adam just made a connection. Heidi Dann murdered by some Kuntz guy so we’ll see what that’s about.

Visit to Suzanne. Her ex husband was also visited by the stranger about her faking her pregnancy. Still can’t find Corrine - she gone!

The Stranger meets with Micaela and it doesn’t go as planned. Heidi is visited by a “NYPD cop” the day after she confronts her daughter. Adam stops by the gym to ask Kristin some questions. Adam loses his temper with Ryan. Thomas tells Adam that his mom uses a phone locator app and they last see her location in Pittsburgh before her phone died.

The stranger approaches Heidi. Adam approaches Corrine about her funsy purchase. She says she needs time and says to meet for dinner. She never shows up and sends a text that she needs time away. Adam talks to Kristin at Corrine’s school and she’s been acting strangely and still not sure where she is. This is getting juicy!!!

Adam meets the stranger while Corrine is at a teachers conference. Adam does some fact checking of his own because of the convo with the stranger. Blocking it out but it’s still absorbing him.

2003 season played with a hurt shoulder. Realizing the ego that made him an anti superstar. Making the postseason in 2004* and losing to the Cardinals. Dodgers trading everyone away under new management. Cortisone shot first time ever. Traded to the diamondbacks after his dream with Ted Williams.

The Zone. Slumping into May. Nailing his foot to the dirt - no stride. Roadtrip to Milwaukee then Arizona. Married in November. 6 weeks pregnant with Lindsay. The best hitting game to ever happen in baseball history, 6-6 with 4 home runs vs the Brewers. In and out of the zone the rest of the year by the way of the universe and natural forces.

Trip to Japan and hanging with Delgado again. Delgado sending ‘The Dinger’. Finding his stillness in another way. Getting engaged. Having the best season of his career. Sitting out for Yom Kippur and not chasing stats or his ego like he did the year before.

Huge contract with the Dodgers. Ego got to his head and played poorly for the reason of chasing his numbers in the past. Lost stillness and space. Ended it with Lindsay. Lot of pressure on his shoulders in the LA market.

Stillness and awareness. Pitchers tipping pitches. Hitting the pitches he wanted to hit. Responding not reacting. Breakout season in 98. Traveled Europe with Carlos Delgado. Found the love of his life when he wasn’t looking from his newfound awareness. He seems like such a good guy.

Love Shawn’s approach to baseball and life so far. Seems like a really likable guy and finally getting his chance to be THE guy in the clubhouse.

What an unexpected first chapter from what I thought I would be reading. The first chapter, Shawn, is arguing with his coaches Cito and Will and even asks for a trade from the Blue Jays after barely seeing the field. This is where he finds his stillness in baseball by hitting off the tee. I didn’t know how spiritual Shawn was until he found his meditation time on the tee and translated to great results in the box.
