Getting better, I might have been too harsh about the first few chapters since I have already spent a lot of time considering games as a lens to view life.

The chapter "Transparency is Surveillance" is improving my feelings about this one quite a bit. Still A LOT to go, and the author does still seem to be fluffing out the word count a bit.

First two chapters are not very encouraging. Holy circular writing Batman!

It's been years since I read The Martian, but this is feeling like a spiritual sequel. Not a bad thing, both are very fun!

Enjoying this more than a lot of blogger-writer books!

Didn't even take half the book for Three-Body Problem to be mentioned.

This is an incredibly tough read so far, can only get through about a chapter a day.
A blurb from the back that sums my feelings well: "Every page contains a sentence or a paragraph I wanted to tear out and nail to the wall."

A nice palette cleanser after Enshittification

I thought this was going to be a scientific nonfiction book and didn't read the inside nor the back cover. Really really interesting so far, going to need some time to mull this over once I finish it.

Enamored with this book. Blending a scathing takedown of liberal falsehoods with technoptimism almost effortlessly.
