It's beautiful. There are very few books this long that can keep up with the wholeness of The Stand. There's always branching out, but there's not always meaning to those branches. Definitely read it if you haven't. No adaptation has got any closet to what it really is (and honestly, don't tell anyone, I bet no critic about it had either)
