I'm skimming at this point, the book is boring, a little too political, and not an ounce of humor to be seen... I'm about to DNF this..

I'm finding this really difficult to get through. One line read how Wallace (MC) was rude/insensitive to Mei for saying the way she speaks sounds like a fortune cookie (I thought it was funny). Unless I missed it previously, I HAD NO IDEA that she was Chinese UNTIL THAT VERY MOMENT when she admonished him for the comment... I literally rolled my eyes. Other comments were made (not about race) that made my eye twitch.

I'm starting to get a terrible feeling that I might end up bawling my eyes out...
