The desire for a more positive experience is itself a negative experience. And, paradoxically, the acceptance of one's negative experience is itself a positive experience.

Terribly slow, poor metaphors, bad syntax, redundant unnecessary details. The only thing driving me to finish book is the right to leave a scalding one star review and getting that stupid bookmark achievement

God. Sooo. Boring. It makes me appreciate the good books I’ve read this year. If I ever write a book, will come back to this one for examples of poor writing

Another book that will have you coming back. So short yet so impactful. I could see my self gifting this book to any non readers in my circle, so that they if they read one book this year it leaves them thinking about what could be. Reading this after just having finished the overstory by Richard powers and then hearing him quoted feels like an Easter egg lol. Brb going to start a little library/public garden at home

An old man, I want only peace. The things of this world mean nothing. I know no good way to live and I can’t stop getting lost in my thoughts, my ancient forests. Maybe I set the bar a little too high for memoirs on my self after reading crying in H mart and I’m glad my mother died. It sounds like it would be right up my alley.. but I am so incredibly bored so far. I might kick myself later for writing this update as it’s so early and I still hold hope it gets better based on the reviews. However it would be remiss of me to not express such a rare feeling from a book.
