I haven’t lived in Boston for 40 years but I’m pretty sure in the intervening time, Cambridge has not miraculously begun sharing a border with Brookline. This just irritates me no end. Such an easy fact to check and yet… here we are. Call me picky but this kind of lack of copy editing drives me nuts.

So far, I am loving this book. The writing is exquisite and the story is engaging.

What is with her calling him Mike Martin over and over! His name is Mike. Call him Mike!!! I’m this close to putting this book down.

Wow. Cannot put this down. Long way to go, though.

This book takes place in the mid to late 1700’s. One character just used the expression “okay.” I’m trying not to let that ruin what is otherwise an excellent read. Hate when that happens.
