Female audio narrators voice & reading style is REALLY OBNOXIOUS!

Its funny & obnoxious at the same time. Ambitious people trying to live the big life.

What an awful focus on terrible life challenges. Reads like a sewer rag. Wonder how much is fiction. Sure sounds by the writing & tone of the audio25reader like it's more exploitative sensationalism.

The audio reader is horrible!. I've heard him on other books & don't think he was this awful. Very nasal & choppy phrasing. Very little distinction between individual characters & very poor celtic/scottish/Irish accents.

I like other Perry novels better.

Part of history we rarely hear. Wish it could have been condensed some tho, it's very long & detailed . I get that they needed the background to insure the impact this 1 man had widely on the area & people of the time. Such gangsters back then & nothing's changed for the better in 200 years.
