LOVED the show, but never got to read the first book, so I’m excited to read this second book in Queenie’s story; she’s such a lovable character to me; deeply insecure but more sure of herself than even she realizes, and she’s a journalist! My favorite stories are about women in journalism & marketing. I hope Netflix comes back with a second season of the show now that we have book #2.

i started playing persona 5 & i’m feeling very rage-baited by video games atm, brb.

When I say I am immersed in this book…I feel like I’ve been living in post-WWII Japan for the past two weeks. This is such a raw vignette of a hardworking family trying to survive when they’ve been marginalized and misplaced; made victims of war and politics. I’m learning so much.

This was a pleasant surprise because historical fiction isn’t usually my go-to!
