Hannah Harper is on page 382 of 384 of The Love Script (Love in the Spotlight, #1)
Felt like a realistic look into Hollywood and dealing with fake people, judgement, trying to keep a career afloat and dealing with unsupportive parents. Overall the different elements were handled well, but we could have used a harsher edit. Writing was simple but relatable and easy to get through. Likeable characters with relationships outside of each other. Support network linked in for other books but still worked

Ok kinda conflicted about this one. I feel like this is not how fake dating usually works, they both like each other basically from the start. It’s very repetitive about her being plus-size and insecure (fair enough), lots of really solid Christian stuff there though abt trusting God and going to church and waitint til marriage, maybe felt like there wasn’t one overall theme there, but it kinda worked for me anyway.

This is the spiciest book without spice I’ve ever read and I don’t know how to feel about it. All does not end well and it’s depressing watching the origin story, it’s a tragedy where you watch things go badly and know it couldn’t have gone any different. I want to finish the series before deciding if I would ever read it again. Good book though

This book does so much and it does it all pretty darn well. We’ve got sunshiny boy and cynical girl, we have boys friends and band and house and girls friends with interesting dynamics throughout, we have divorced mom getting remarried and her relationship with daughter and love, we have brother with lizards and girlfriend and we have author mother who was slightly neglectful. So much and there are so many vibes

Took me a solid while to get into, kind of too flippant with the investigating and crime at the start, and there were just so many plot lines of different crimes, altogether very well done though
I liked all of the different relationship dynamics, the stubborn old ladies, the cops who become friends, the relationships with comatose people, within the club, and between adult children and parents
Very well done

Ok it’s not the wife. Or if it is we are getting no vibes from what we actually see of her. It’ll just be a rip off if it is

Is it the wife? It feels like the wife at this point and I’ve realised the multiple POVs is being a problem because there are just no good suspects. Hannon is just holding too much back so that any suspicious lines or thoughts aren’t fleshed out and are just stuck in a vague limbo of ‘I guess we have to keep slogging though so she’ll say something helpful.’

Slightly painful. Just soo slow and hinting at secrets and threats in a way that makes me want to throw the book rather than keeping me hooked
The multiple POVs isn’t gelling with me at this point. I don’t think I care about anyone yet

Kinda depressing tbh. Tea ladies are being phased out, morality is going downhill. Hazel still doesn’t have any character flaws
I respect the nuanced take on Nuns & priests (so far) and the lack of hard judgement either way about moral issues.
The plot against national security isn’t there yet (unless it was the initial red herring)
Just weirdly paced I guess, lots of mini mysteries rather than one overarching

Skimmed through the eschatology part a bit, this guy seems to take literally first the Jews then gentiles, and figuratively second temple I think?

Good, talking about psalms and how they connect us with God through Jesus, because nothing else can connect us to God

Depressing so far. Thought about crime, did crime, kept thinking about crime, almost confessed to crime (multiple times), went normal for a hot minute, and now his family have shown up so I suspect it’s downhill from here again

Good so far, quite a bit to process as you go, finding it very helpful for reframing my perspective to be more God-centric
