This is good but not great. Reads more like a James Patterson. King’s foray into “detective crime” is just weird to me ….. I keep waiting for his horror, supernatural side to randomly pop up.

Group of boys find a body in the Maine woods …. craziness ensues. Coming of age novella of the 1960s — candy stores, card games, comic books, smoking cigarettes, American-made muscle cars.

Great and enthralling, a page turner

Picking this one back up again; have wildly too much left of this beast of a novel. Want to fully clear the plate for a new summer rotation.
