faces -- putting faces to the generic "indian head" -- putting faces to the name of "ndn"

I first read this in 2018 for a grad seminar in Native Lit. However, rather than reading to enjoy it, I skimmed it in order to be able to discuss it for class, since we had to read 1-2 books per class per week. One of my creative writing profs used to say "you never get your first read back"... I resent that my first read of this was a skim, but I'm happy to be reading it on ndn time now.

I get it, I get the hype lol. So far something standing out to me is how it's all the people who are not traditionally viewed as "experts" -- people who do things for the love of them, who pursue and entertain the "impossible" ideas *and who FAIL* -- who are of utmost importance in this apocalyptic situation...

idk. started off super strong but then got very boring to me when odysseus entered the picture.
