Was a good book. Not amazing though. I have thoughts. Ha. Overall, it’s a great “life lesson” type of read.

It picked up and got better. I was lost by most of the stuff until she got to the Midnight Library. I should probably go back and listen to the first 20 mins again. Now that I know the characters. Overall, pretty interesting premise. The book/life about her being a good cat owner made me sad. In a good way.

Certain elements I loved, certain personal stories she shared….I didn’t love. She admits to being a hypocrite a lot of the time. It’s a bit exhausting. But the overall message is great! I do believe moms just need to do what’s best for them and their families. We may feel like failures at times, but we’re seriously always crushing it.

Edge of my seat the last half of this book!!

Wow, this book picked up from the slow begging and was great! Nora is a great character, Libby no so much. So happy I read this!

I’m not sure why I read this, but it was pretty good. Like, it was very sexually explicit, but not spicy. I think it was written very straight, to the point. As she said, without “fluff”. I think it’s important to know stories like this to kinda know what to look for…now that I have a daughter, my mind does wander on dangers like this. And it didn’t “wrap up nicely”, which I kinda like.

Meh. Underwhelmed so far.

So far, Serena’s story is boring.

Saw this ending a mile away. Listen to most of it in one day. Was good, but too predictable. Most of McFadden’s books, as I’ve said before, gets wrapped up in a perfect bow—type of ending. Sometimes I don’t need it to be perfect!

I don’t know if my note saved, but I was writing that I dislike how possessive he is with his “mate”. Like cringy. But I’m not sure how I’d feel if I was into that type of inter-species thang. Haha. Good book though!

I had a theory and I was wrong. I think it would have been better. But it’s still extremely good!

Pretty good, I feel like I just don’t even know what possible trauma I had growing up that would translate to how I am now. Guess I just need to really think more.

I don’t particularly love thinking back to a group of friends that WAS your safe space as a way to cope…when you are no longer friends with these people. Seems more harmful than good.

Roadtrip book, we’re not getting far. Ha.

Wow okay it’s getting hot between the vamps & the weres. 🌶️🩸 But the plot is also getting pretty good!!

When I have more time, I really should be trying these exercises that she walks through to be self-full. Healing your “little me”….finding 10+ pictures from my childhood sounds a bit daunting. But exactly why I should do it. Ha. Not sure I’d remember my feelings about the photo though. Who knows!

Oh I think this is my new favorite McFadden book! As soon as the name was dropped, I figured it out. Took a few turns but yes! And like all McFaddens, it wraps up with a pretty bow. Little TOO perfectly, but this time it makes sense.
