How can these 2 characters claim to be falling in love when there is zero chemistry?

So, this cursed kingdom are dragon shifters and her fiancé is still alive as the king of this other kingdom. 2 easily predictable things.

There’s gotta be dragon shifters eventually revealed in this book. Too many signs point toward that.

Gareth is a so called “traitor”, that she remarked looked like her supposedly deceased fiance when she first met him. So yeah, i’m assuming they’re brothers now and her fiance is not actually dead, but the ruling monarch of the opposing kingdom and he’s trying to get her back. Oh yeah and she of course has to start falling for the king she thought was evil and he probably knows who her fiance is. 😅

Why do authors normalize creepy MMCs who appear in the FMC’s room unannounced? She banishes him, so now he obsessively sends her letters. Can this “dark king” receive a tragic end? Creepy stalker
