I am really enjoying the way that McCarthy writes moments. He manages to make an event that should be less than minute and prolong it on the page to the point that it feels and reads much longer in a way that is refreshing and interesting and not annoying.

Really good I like the sharp and dry humor. Very sarcastic. Interpreting this as Vonneguts constant memories of war during the slower paced aspects of life after the war.
