i suppose i should start counting the graphic novels i read

i'm really intrigued by the choices of extreme media by irina that are reflective of her mental and social state in the narrative. they all serve a purpose and are nice little breadcrumbs for people who are into extreme media that really add to the narrative. im super interested to see how deeper this will go as people say it gets violent

dnfing blood meridian put me into a mood for a western horror but i just cant find one that i would actually like...

so i was a little wrong about the idea of there not being the big bad old woman hag trope, but i think its done in such a way here that's not like barbarian or old and kind of tasteful

i do really enjoy the subversion of the "old scary hag" trope we see in a lot of horror that is happening so far in chapter 14. i know that it's probably going to come into play but im really enjoying that

reread! i can't get over how steinbeck describes food. his writing is masterful as always but im hungry just reading...

distinctly, steinbeck's works are very ethel cain. i just love the imagery. there's almost a dusty cloud hanging over the way he writes and the drawl and prose so evident in his writing, so telling of the times and his birthright

Why are all the men in Rina Kent's MM books on Reddit?! Gareth was on Reddit in the first book. Now Vaughn is. And I distinctly remember Brandon being on Reddit too.

She has these quirks she gives a good chunk of her characters, and I can't decide if it's immersion breaking or enough for me to not care and ignore it. How silly.

this isn't as dark romance as I thought it could have been and it furthers my belief that rina kent is rina kents and there is more than one person writing these books.

the main ship is cute though I like the gay yearning happening while everything is kind of awful around them they both suck and are really cute so far
