Loving it!

Well, there aren’t many books that I could say are life changing but I do think this is one of them. Absolutely heartbreaking at times - but kinda laughed when I turned the page to part V - The Happy Years and thought “well thank f*** for that” we’re only 427 pages in!! But! It IS astounding writing and is definitely genius

I usually don’t get time to update the page number but this one is a whopper so! Page 163-164 was absolutely stunning by the way!! Best words I have read about parenting for a long time x

I love this book and it’s one of those rare treasures that I will be bereft of once I’ve finished no doubt. The writing is on another level... usually switching characters, timelines and perspectives does my head in proper! But! This is so deftly done that it is astounding!!! Not to mention the tension that he builds whilst being deep in the importance of character. Awesome

Just started this book last night and i absolutely love it already. This is the kind of tone in a novel that I have been looking for, for a while. I am already quite attached to Elliot and feel like this book is going to change me in some ways.
