I’m 30% into this book, and it’s phenomenally written, but I don’t know how I feel about it. It’s very, slow…. I’m 30% in and I can only tell you a handful of things that have happened. That 30% is over 200 pages…. I’m immersive reading and the audiobook is really well done! There have been some truly heart wrenching scenes, but if this wasn’t my partners #1 favourite book I’d DNF atp.

I love how Devon is able to capture such an authentic way of Melbourne life. Living her my entire life, she’s managed to put into words such accurate Aussie Melbournianisms and it’s truly so comforting to read.
I’m only 53 pages in but so far has been a very comfortable warm fuzzy read & I’m excited to keep on reading the book! 🥰

Just as I thought finally everyone was becoming a better character, NOPE.

This book being labeled as a romance makes haunting Adeline look like a damn masterpiece of romance.

The Magic system has a lot going on and I am quite invested in that however ….. I wish they’d scrap the romance. Wtf kind of romantasy is this ???

Uh I don’t understand the obsession everyone has with this series…. It’s actually quite triggering as someone who’s been heavily bullied.

The bullying is so intense wtaf. Like literal torture.

Enjoying this so far but not as much as I did Fourth Wing. I'm about 25% into this book and by this mark I was already invested wondering how / if she gets a dragon and what powers she gets etc. But Iron Flame hasn't drawn me in the same way as the previous book however I do want to know how the hell and WHY the plot twist at the end of FW happened.

THAT PLOT TWIST AT CHAPTER 29!!!!?!?!? WHAT THE FUCK.

Enjoying this so far. The spice is like nothing too dark but it’s also realistic. MUCH better than the other book I read of Ana’s. I also love the *SPOILERS* friendship circle being involved in seeing what makes Alex tick, 🤣 knowing the other 3 books in the series are all about her other friends makes me happy and excited to read them after I finish this one!
