Charley is taming a wild dog that's wandering around near her house. The dog was probably abused in the past, and she's already getting through to him? It kinda feels like a fever dream because the last chapter it was raining and it was a summer day in the woods, it was nice.

It's low key going slower than the last book, but it's common for sequels to do that.

I love the high-speed chaces! Only once they were actually being chaced, and the other time they were just worries they were gonna follow. Exiting!

Alex and Darla left Alex's uncles farm on the way to find the bandits that had Alex's dad's gun, who had left with his mom 5 weeks before Alex and Darla had arrived at the farm.

They finally reached FEMA, but it made their situation even worse than it was. They're struggling to get out of the cold, but soon they find one place to sleep thanks to Alex's taekwando skills, but on has to keep watch for half the night.

There are a lot of dangers in a lawless wasteland, like bandits and thieves. Darla's mom was killed, and they had to hide. When Target came back to finish them off, he set fire to the house where Darla's mom still lay, and set fire to the barn. as he was in the barn Alex dropped a huge stone on his head from the hayloft and killed him.

some things that wouldn't have happened happened in the book, and we would be able to track Yellowstone's rate of change and know if the explosion was gonna or not, and people within the radius of the volcano would be told to move quickly. though its a very interesting concept, some things were not thought about before hand. good book so fair though.
