Why am I so afraid to start this book! HOW IS THIS GOING TO END!?

Ok I am confused. In the 1st chapter we learn that 6 mon ago she hit her head and woke up not remembering anything before that, but then in chapters 1 and 2 she says things like we always, or we never, and my friend matured over the last year.... and she's devastated by the loss of family she was with for 3 months? I really hope this gets explained, as the story continues because as is, WTF are publisher's doing?!?

I identify so much with this FMC.

With Emma M Long being as absolutely fabulous as it is, I decided to see what else this Ms. Brower had written thinking if this book is half as fabulous she could join my auto-buy author list. 6 chapters in and I've just ordered everything she's written available for purchase. Her FMCs are intelligent, witty, unbiased, and by far the most interesting characters written. Definitely at the top of my auto-buy list.
