People have mentioned this book as having a happy ending that gives some relief, but I just can't see it. Especially when drawing parallels with today. It's a very beautiful story on human nature though.

Excellent and beautiful bilingual book. I love reading one page at a time and taking lots of notes for my Greek studies. The description of the plants are very nice and tell a bit of related folk tales too. This is the second book I've read from this series and I just bought three more from this collection.
