Did not like this book much. Took me FOREVER to read

Ben is the main one right now. He gets bullied. He mails Beverly, who he is in love with, a poem. He has a horrible vision of a clown on the way from the last day of school. He barely avoids the bullies. He wakes up from a nap and find Bill in the woods helping a boy.

Part one: Georgie dies in a graphic, terrifying way to begin the book. You get the cozy, old fashioned feel from the setting be in the 50s for this scene and rainy with classical music being played on piano by their mother. It shifts to “modern day”/ the 80s. The kids get the call that It is back. Very traumatizing for each one. Stan kills himself. The rest choose to go back. Intro to Hanlons diary entries.

First of all, I figured out that Barbara and Olivia help make the connection of Jorge (the first victim).

Side note: there are previous novels containing these characters “the finders keepers” that I need to read

Holly figured out it’s The Harris’! She’s in the cage in their basement! She just managed to kill Roddy!!

I like the way the book is written. Going back and forth with dates keeps it interesting in my opinion. Short chapters as well keep me engaged.

Holly is close to finding the Harris’! I’m still trying to figure out why Barbara & Olivia have such a big spotlight. Not sure where it all connects. Excited to see what happens!

Holly has my attention! Em and Roddy believe in killing people to use their flesh/fat to ease their aches and pain from getting old. (Arthritis, sciatica). I’m curious to see what happens!!
