It’s like a breath of fresh air so far

One of the best books in children’s literature ever written. The first two chapters are so very sad, with learning Mary has gone blind and the very next chapter Jack dies. I love how this book introduces us to disability in the Ingalls family and how they meet it with sorrow, yes, but so much care and compassion for Mary and each other

We are absolutely loving this book as a family
