i get that this is supposed to be "cozy" but im sorry this is mostly just boring :/ literally nothing remotely interesting happens until 100+ pages in and right after this, when you think the story will finally pick up, its goes right back to pretty much nothing happening

I think its partly due to the translation but I'm pleasantly surprised that the text reads rather simple and fast for a 1800s work so maybe it will not take me 2 years to finish this book lol

the constant switch between joy because I understand what he is saying and then the absolute horror because I understand what he is saying

one chapter in and my head hurts

it has finally started to become somewhat interesting

wdym dr Frankenstein was in MY CITY and called it UGLY 🥀💔

so far it feels like this book has been about 10% monster, 30% mr viktor frankenstein's moodswings, and 60% appreciation of nature (especially the swiss alps) lol

anyways now the monster is going to tell his story and im quite curious (though i am already on his side)

i expected the actual creating/building would be emphasized more and be longer, but it was just quite quickly mentioned which surprised me. but anyways, the action is back and the story is exciting so im curious for the coming volumes :)

the witch stories were so much fun lol
