I had to walk away from this for awhile. It’s LONG. I’m so glad I came back. It was like seeing old friends again.

I just love lily king’s writing style! I enjoyed some stories much better than others, but loved it.

I really enjoyed this book. Dracula is one of my favorites, and I liked the parallels.

A beautiful story, tragic in many ways. I’m a sucker for a strong female character who we get to follow along as she finds herself.

I would not recommend audio, the narrator was dull and I’m certain I would have loved it even more had I read instead of listened.

Really good read! Turned out a bit predictable, but a creative story line nonetheless. There were some interesting twists that I didn’t see coming, but overall I didn’t want it to end.

This was a heartwarming little read for book club. I enjoy hearing the stories of the strength that every day citizens displayed in London during WWII.

I read this book years ago but it has found its way into my top 5 this go-round.
