How can Spencer do her after-school job with a broken arm???

Also, I really hate Peyton right now. Yeah, we get it. You hate Ethan. It was interesting the first few times, but now it's just annoying. Her podcasts lately don't really add much to the story either, other than the fact that his dad cheated once, but that's not relevant at all.

92 pages in and I'm still not a fan of this at all. First of all, how does one with half her body broken manage to put on heavy sportswear??? Second of all, wow...more telling than showing.

And one more thing I want to add: THE HEADMASTER GUILT-TRIPPED SPENCER BY THREATENING HER STANDING ON THE LIST.

WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK. (yes, I had to swear here. No, I'm not sorry)

WHO DOES THIS??? That headmaster needs to step down right now because he shouldn't be there. It's like he pretends to care, but really just doesn't. This is BS.

First of all, THIS HEADMASTER IS DIABOLICAL. He knows Spencer's injured. That she probably shouldn't move that much. And yet he tells her to go to someone's house to collect printing anyway. The hell??? Also, why can Spencer carry things in her backpack? And the writing at the end of the chapter is more like a summary. She thanked him...Jack offered to carry her bag...yeah. What did they say? I'm not a fan anymore :\

#1 NYT bestselling author btw. From Roaring Brook Press. How this, and the rest of the worst of the awkward prose, managed to get past the editing is beyond me.

Prose still awkward to read, and the story...Spencer, what do you mean you, whose upper body has been rendered useless, are going to ride a bike to school? And why didn't her parents stop her, despite the fact that they know she shouldn't do that? So she can't use her chopsticks or write with her dominant hand, but she *can* ride a whole-ass bike across the street to school? Nope, sorry, can't buy the circumstances.

The prose tells more than shows and is a bit repetitive at some areas to the point where it's annoying, and sure, it was awkward to read aloud (especially that poem in the beginning; it can barely be considered a poem), but the story seems interesting so far.

It seems this book has a lot to say about internet culture and how it ruins lives. Also, maybe Athena isn't as good as I thought she was... (tbh, though, she was kinda iffy)

Just (reluctantly) put the book down to study. But wow, is this unputdownable!!!!!!!! OBSESSED.

Starting off strong! I read the first chapter in one go. Though the exposition dump at the start was a little much (besides, most details in there weren't even relevant), everything else was okay! The prose especially! The swearing didn't feel forced, and the descriptions? Chef's kiss.

Things only seem to be stringing up together now... But there's weak connections to the first book. Honestly, this one is disappointing.

First of all: What is with this book and the word 'delve'?????

Secondly: Wow. This book's prose is awful. Wore than the prequel. And sure, the recent releases of major media may have made me more negatively biased towards sequels, so this may not be fair. But then again, this is still bearable. I can still read this without feeling the need to cry my eyes out, so I persist.

The book's still great so far! I like the conflict between Boy and Lexi :D

I LOVE this book! Especially the part where they had to change the whole script and ended up making a racket of everything instead! But there was that one time where a phrase was repeated in the same sentence. I just wanted to cut the repeated phrase out. But I still love the story so far! :D

The book's prose definitely left much to be desired, especially at the beginning of the book, when I just got information on Boy's name from absolutely nowhere. But it did improve as it progressed. It did more telling than showing, but uh... Children can pick up on stuff just from the dialogue, too, you know, Phillip? Anyway, it was still a funny read with a great story, just that the presentation could be better. :)
