I was dead wrong. Thomas is just a severely traumatised, tormented kid who deals with the impossible burden of murdering monsters in the forest every night. On barely any sleep. Or food. And the lingering fear he’ll lose the last two people in his life that give him meaning.

I can feel Andrew’s anxiety and frustration around Thomas like it’s palpable. I’m just as mad and eager for him to unveil his secrets - oh it’s making me impatient in the best way.
(Current running theory: Thomas murdered his parents or had an argument with them over Andrew, something in relation to the love confession Andrew snuck in Thomas’ bag for summer).

The juxtaposition of Winston and Kenji’s emotions towards Warner is so mind-boggling and nonsensical. One minute Winston is yelling (enraged) at Warner for being a self-absorbed narcissist, then not even 2 minutes later he’s sniffling over the reveal that Juliette and Warner are getting married that day 🤠🤠
And the surprise wedding reveal was very dumb. The miscommunication between them is painful

Apollo definitely crossed the line, well a lot of lines, in this book but his chapters are so over-hated 🙂‍↕️ Maybe it’s just me, but I quite enjoy reading his perspective, the jealousy and anger he feels towards Jacks is entertaining.
He also delivered this beautiful quote:

Pg 78: “She was the moth and Jacks was still the flame”.

I expected to dislike the 3rd book but so far I like it, the drama!

Honestly just here for the Hyacinthe and Tiernan love story.
Struggling to connect with Wren’s character atm. I understand that, as a traumatised character, she’s acting defensively, but her relationship with Oak feels entirely different compared to the previous book.

As The Ghost’s #1 fan, I’ve been excitedly reading every scene he’s in. However, I’m scared of what’s to come (Oak please spare him).

So far I’m really, REALLY enjoying Oak’s POV. I was expecting Wren’s POV, but I’m delightfully surprised to be hearing from my third favourite character.
Initial thoughts: look, I really like Wren. I loved the ending line of the Stolen Heir, I was obsessed with her takeover as the new Queen. However, I feel as though she’s abusing too much of her power onto Oak. The bridle is deeply disturbing in itself.
