The book is going great and getting better as some mysteries are beginning to unfold. Joe had his first night at the bar, was a huge success, and went out to the beach when his shift ended at 5am. He saw “gladiator man” and the ferry deck hand on the beach. It turns out the gladiator man may be a vision and something known as the great darkness. Joe may be a “chosen one”.

The book is great! This quote absolutely destroyed me though: “You imagine a world where the two of you can go out to dinner together on a Saturday night, and no one thinks twice about it. It makes you want to cry, the simplicity of it, the smallness of it. You have worked so hard for a life so grand. And now all you want are the smallest freedoms. The daily piece of loving plainly.“
