Looks like I never put in my previous progress, reading chapter 5 (the first of four in this volume). Oops.

My (extended) family wanted to try reading a play together on Zoom, and this was the pick. We didn't get very far. 😂

Phew. That's a fairly thick index.

Whoops, there's an Acknowledgements section.

From here, it's all notes, index, stuff nobody "reads".

Not sure if that last bit counts as a chapter, but here I am at the top of the Afterword.

Half an hour per chapter again, like clockwork. Halfway through.

Mixing snacking with reading is a recipe for slower progress. 45 minutes for one chapter, oy.

The first truly amusing printing error: "a modem version". Keming is much funnier than the wrong kind of bracket or dash, or a missing space.

Seems like each chapter is a pretty consistent 30 minutes for me.

Three chapters in somewhat more than an hour, that's more like it.

One chapter in 2 hours? Hopefully I can read faster now that my phone is done updating, letting me focus on the book.

THIS book has a short preface and cast of characters before it even starts, and the publisher-provided page count includes none of the front matter whatsoever. Unusual.

"About the Author" and we're done.

Acknowledgements. A mere two pages.
