Set out to start and finish this on the plane ride. Despite my best efforts and quite literally reading the whole time, didn’t happen :/ not because it isn’t engaging though. Really enjoying this. Affirms a lot of what I’ve thought about the state of America politically, but also brings to light that humans in general are prone to polarization when given the tools to polarize.

I’m really invested in this. I think Vladek is such an interesting character, and the jumps between past and present feel like they make so much sense. It never gets confusing or jarring. I kinda see why so many old men get into a WWII phase or whatever, it’s just so unbelievable that all of this happened.

I had something planned to write but I’m just gonna leave this excerpt from the end of what we read this morning:
