I need to stop picking books about topics I already know a lot about. Reading this...I would rather watch paint dry

I was planning on saying how good this was, but it climaxed at 20% and honestly the fact that it still has 80% to go....this book should have been significantly shorter. As a tragedy, I don't need to feel like I actually lived the same, drawn-out, life-long heartache that the characters are about to endure. I will be 80 years old by the time this ends.

I like the idea of Nesbo's books, and I will give a few others a chance, but maybe I'm just not the right audience.

All of the books up until this point have been as grounded in reality and history as a time travel book can be... why are we not introducing actually outlandish and unnecessary ideas... Please stop 🥹
